A casa do Afonso

Todos os fins de semana eu vou à casa do meu amigo Afonso para jogar playstation.Every weekend I go to my friend Afonso's house to play PlayStation. Na verdade, a casa não é dele, é dos pais dele.Actually, the house isn't his, it belongs to his parents.

Sempre que lá vou fico impressionado com o tamanho absurdo da casa.Every time I go there I'm amazed by the sheer size of the house. Quem me dera ter um lugar assim para viver.I wish I had a place like that to live in.

A casa tem três andares e tem um jardim enorme com piscina e um espaço próprio para fazer churrasco.The house has three floors and a huge garden with a pool and its own space for barbecues.

Dentro, acho que tem para aí uns cinco quartos e todos eles são grandes.Inside, I think it has around five bedrooms and they're all big. Dois dos quartos possuem casa de banho privada.Two of the bedrooms have an en-suite bathroom.

No andar de cima há um sótão muito espaçoso onde podemos ver televisão, jogar jogos ou simplesmente relaxar.Upstairs there's a very spacious attic where we can watch television, play games, or just relax. É a minha divisão preferida.It's my favourite room.

No andar do meio ficam os quartos e ainda há duas varandas com uma vista para o mar.On the middle floor are the bedrooms, and there are also two balconies with a sea view.

No andar de baixo temos uma cozinha muito muito grande com espaço para muitas pessoas onde podemos cozinhar e jantar também. A cozinha está equipada com tudo: frigorífico, forno, fogão, máquina de lavar loiça e uma pia. Há também um balcão e algumas cadeiras. É uma cozinha moderna.Downstairs we have a really huge kitchen with room for lots of people, where we can cook and have dinner too. The kitchen is equipped with everything. There is a fridge, an oven, a hob, a dishwasher, and a sink. There's also a counter and some chairs. It's a modern kitchen.

A sala é também muito espaçosa: tem uma mesa para mais de dez pessoas e um sofá confortável e bonito. As paredes estão cheias de quadros originais e ainda há uma lareira para aquecer a casa no inverno. A sala é um espaço com muita luz, pois tem uma janela grande que ocupa quase toda a parede. Esta é talvez a divisão maior da casa.The living room is also very spacious. It has a table for more than ten people and a comfortable, good-looking sofa. The walls are covered in original paintings, and there's also a fireplace to warm the house in winter. The living room is a bright space, since it has a big window that takes up almost the whole wall. This is perhaps the biggest room in the house.

Neste andar há duas casas de banho.On this floor there are two bathrooms. Todas estão equipadas com chuveiro, lavatório e sanita.All of them are fitted with a shower, a sink, and a toilet. Cada casa de banho tem um aquecedor de toalhas, que é um detalhe que eu gosto muito.Each bathroom has a towel warmer, which is a detail I really like.

Há também um espaço pequenino para lavar e secar roupa, com máquina de lavar roupa.There's also a tiny space for washing and drying clothes, with a washing machine. E finalmente temos a garagem, onde o pai do Afonso guarda os carros que ele tem e os carros que ele vai ter.And finally there's the garage, where Afonso's father keeps the cars he has and the cars he's going to have.
