A Ana e o Rui estão na sala de aula. — Esta mochila é tua, Rui? — pergunta a Ana. — Não. Essa mochila é da Sofia. Esta é a minha.Ana and Rui are in the classroom. "Is this backpack yours, Rui?" asks Ana. "No, that backpack is Sofia's. This one is mine."
A Sofia entra na sala. — O que é isto? No chão está uma caixa pequena. O Rui pega na caixa. — Não sei. Isso parece uma prenda.Sofia comes into the room. "What is this?" There is a small box on the floor. Rui picks up the box. "I don't know. That looks like a present."
A Ana abre a caixa e sorri. — Ah! Isto é um livro! Nesse momento, o professor chega. — Muito bem! Aquele livro é para a biblioteca, mas esta caixa é para a nossa sala.Ana opens the box and smiles. "Ah, this is a book!" At that moment, the teacher arrives. "Very good. That book is for the library, but this box is for our classroom."
A Sofia olha para a janela. — E aquela mochila junto à porta? De quem é? Um aluno responde: — Aquela mochila é do Pedro. O Pedro entra e ri. — Sim, é minha! Obrigado!Sofia looks toward the window. "And that backpack by the door? Whose is it?" A student answers, "That backpack belongs to Pedro." Pedro comes in and laughs. "Yes, it's mine! Thank you!"
O professor, mudando de assunto, aponta para uma fotografia na parede. — Estão a ver aquilo? É uma fotografia da escola há cinquenta anos. Os alunos olham com atenção. — Que interessante! — dizem eles.The teacher, changing the subject, points at a photograph on the wall. "Do you see that? It's a photograph of the school fifty years ago." The students look closely. "How interesting!" they say.
