Nota cultural

Condomínio, the monthly fee for shared upkeep of a building, is a fact of life in Portuguese apartment blocks and always worth asking about before you buy. So is humidade. Damp is a genuine concern in older Portuguese housing stock, which is why a careful buyer like João asks about it directly rather than waiting to find out later.
